I take orders for  commissioned portraits in pastels and oils. 

Portraits are painted from observation (life painting, drawing of a sitter) or a photo reference  (if the long sitting for a portrait is not possible).

In both case the portrait is more than copying an accurate representation. It is an image interpreted through individual artistic view and technique.
